Every pin binds to the actual DOM node — element ID, CSS path, text excerpt. Not a pixel coordinate, not a screenshot region. When the HTML changes, the pin re-anchors automatically.

Switch to sticky mode and drop a note on any part of the canvas — not attached to any element. Stored as percentage coordinates so they survive every HTML change.
